New Heat Pump Installation with First Co. Fan Coils for Better Airflow & Comfort in West Hollywood, CA

We were called out to a building in West Hollywood, CA to replace two older heat pump systems that were no longer reliable. We removed the old rooftop units and installed two new heat pumps, then connected everything so they could heat and cool the building the way they should. Inside, we installed First Co. fan coils to match the new systems and help move air properly. After that, we tested both systems to make sure they switched between heating and cooling, responded at the thermostat, and delivered steady comfort.

On the rooftop, we removed the existing equipment, set the new heat pump systems in place, and made sure each unit was positioned, mounted, and secured correctly for a rooftop install. From there, we handled the connections and the details that matter, including making sure the electrical side was safe and shut off properly at the disconnect, confirming the refrigerant lines were connected and supported correctly, and keeping the roof work area organized so nothing got left behind. A clean install is not just about looks, it can help prevent future issues and makes servicing easier down the road.

Inside, we handled the evaporator and fan coil side of the job with First Co. fan coils. That matters because the indoor side is what delivers the comfort you actually feel, and it plays a big role in airflow and how evenly rooms are conditioned. Using First Co. fan coils gave us a solid match for the new heat pump systems and kept the setup consistent. With the right indoor equipment in place, the system can move air the way it should, help avoid short cycling and weak airflow that can come from worn or mismatched parts, and support a smoother day-to-day experience for the people using the space.

Once both systems were installed, we checked operation and airflow for each one. We made sure they started up normally, switched correctly between heating and cooling, responded properly at the thermostat, and ran through normal cycles without issues. We also confirmed airflow was moving as expected so the systems deliver comfort instead of just “running.” We ended with a final check on the roof, then cleaned up and made sure everything was left in order.
