40,000 BTU Furnace Install, Thermostat Upgrade & Return Air Improvement in Santa Monica, CA

With new tenants moving in soon, the owner of this Santa Monica, CA home did not want to rely on a furnace from 1985, so we scheduled the replacement ahead of time to avoid a last-minute no-heat issue, reduce the chance of surprise repair calls after move-in, and make sure the property was ready with dependable heat from day one.

The old upflow furnace came out and we installed a new 40,000 BTU upflow system in its place. We set it up the right way from the start, with secure connections, sealed ductwork where needed, and proper checks on the venting and gas line so it can run safely and consistently. We also replaced the thermostat so the new furnace has reliable control and smoother on and off cycles.

A big part of this job was improving airflow. We enlarged the return because that is the side that feeds the system air. When the return is too small, the furnace can get “starved” for airflow, which can make it work harder and make the heat feel less consistent from room to room. By opening that up, we helped the system move air the way it should so the home can feel more even and the equipment can run with less strain.

After installation, we ran the system through a full start-up, checked operation in heat mode, and confirmed everything was working the way it should before we wrapped up. The end result is a rental-ready setup with dependable heat, improved airflow, and a much lower chance of a surprise service call right after move-in.

If your furnace is older, you’re getting a rental ready, or you want to replace your system before it breaks down, we can help. Call now or fill out the form and we’ll reach out to schedule a visit, answer your questions, and give you clear options and pricing. Let’s get your heat handled before it turns into an emergency.
